Public Fundraising Collection in aid of Rotary Charities

Comber Rotary’s Charity Golf Event

The Rotary Club of Comber is holding a Charity Golf event at Mahee Island Golf Club on Thursday 26 May 2011.

Proceeds of the event will go towards Rotary sponsored charities including “Shelterbox” which sends relief boxes to disaster areas all over the world – including recently, the Haiti and Japan Earthquakes and the Pakistan 2010 floods. Also benefiting will be Rotary’s Polio Eradication programme and the Jaipur Limb Appeal – a project which began in India to provide artificial limbs, but which now operates in many African and South American countries as well as in Haiti.

The format is 18 hole stableford and is open to Rotarians and non Rotarians both male and female. The green fee of £25 per head includes a golfers fry, light refreshments, and generous prizes. The tee is reserved from 12.00 noon until approx. 2.30 pm.
